Barbara Mikula, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., MSOM, is a licensed and nationally board-certified acupuncturist. She is the owner and sole practitioner at Mikula Acupuncture in Leesburg, Virginia.
Established in 2003, Mikula Acupuncture supports women’s health, fertility obstacles, and gynecological issues through acupuncture. Barbara specializes in fertility for women and men and gynecological conditions and pregnancy support.
A Diplomate of Acupuncture, she is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®). NCCAOM certification indicates to patients and peers that one has met national standards for the safe and competent practice of acupuncture as defined by the acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) profession.
Barbara graduated from Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2003.
She received her master’s degree in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Florida College of Integrative Medicine in 2010. She has a bachelor’s degree in health services from the same college.
Barbara has been studying and working with herbs for 40 years. She completed training in Chinese Herbal Medicine at Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia Institute) in 2008.
Barbara takes a highly individualized approach to serving patients. She provides customized treatment for each person on their fertility journey.
